Cowslips, pickled gherkins, smell of old books, picture postcards, snow storms, cold floor under my bare feet, quotes on my wall, candles, spells, hail, clavicle, keys, mud, pedicures, lemons, flowers and leaves pressed in books, tree bark, sandy river banks, wild life sanctuaries, ma’s kaftans, whiskers, luscious lips, bubbles, cigarettes, earthenware, bonfires, barbeques, thumbed through books with broken spines, beer, salt…

Foundress of Nothing

The title is from George Eliot's Middle March, goes something like- "Here and there is born a Saint Theresa, foundress of nothing, whose loving heart beats and sobs after an unattained goodness tremble off and are dispersed among hindrances, instead of centering in some long-recognisable deed."
